Mark your calendars, the 2026 Boro BBQ Festival is coming back, at the beautiful ground of Hop Springs Park in eastern Rutherford County, Tennessee!

Boro BBQ Festival

Smell the blue smoke of some of the finest BBQ east of the Mississippi River and west of the Great Smoky Mountains. Watch some of the top cookers in Middle Tennessee compete in the KCBS Competitive Series-sanctioned Dr. George Smith BBQ Brawl. We will roll out the red carpet and keep the lights on!

When the inaugural competition was held in 2013, 17 teams showed up to compete for the best BBQ chicken and ribs. In May 2026, 50 teams from across the country will vie for the title of Grand Champion. More importantly, 10,000 people are expected to attend to cheer them on!

While serious competitors are sweating it out at the Dr. George Smith BBQ Battle, middle Tennesseans will be soaking up the rays with great food, games and contests, and live entertainment. Your sponsorship dollars will put your brand in front of thousands of Middle Tennesseans.

And don’t forget, our event supports dozens of non-profits in our community. We gave away more than $100,000 from our 2025 festival alone!
